How I Save Time Planning My Meals for the Week

     If you are anything like me, you like to plan out your meals so you know what you are going to eat and like to save money. However, you might feel like meal planning will take too much time. That is why I thought I would share how I meal plan with you.

Here is how I do it: 

1. To save time, I only plan 3 dinner meals & 1 Sunday breakfast meal each week. 

     I used to plan 7 dinner meals every week, but I found that it was tedious and time consuming. Instead, I plan 3 meals and buy a few easy to cook meals like frozen dinners, soups, salads, etc. That way, I don't spend a lot of time planning and cooking 7 meals a week.

2. For the other meals (breakfast and lunch), I buy similar things each week. 

     Because I buy similar things every week for breakfast and lunch, I just check the fridge and pantry to make sure I have enough bread, cereal, snacks, etc. That way, I don't have to plan very much.

3. After I decide what 3 dinner dinner meals and Sunday breakfast I want for the week, I write it down on a piece of paper.

     This helps me prioritize and doesn't overwhelm me with planning for several meals for the week. I only plan 4. And since I have been doing this for a long time, I have lists from the past to refer to in case I can't think of anything I want to eat.


4. Finally, I look up the ingredients and put them on an app called Out of Milk. 

     Having Out of Milk is nice because you can share the list with someone else and have an organized list to take to the store. Of course, I will admit that I don't always look at the list after I make it. It just depends on if I am making a new meal that week.

Why I Haven't Posted Recently

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but I haven't posted on either one of my blogs for over a month. Looking back at both pages, I haven't posted on ABCTE Teacher since the beginning of May and I haven't posted on Fitness and Books since late April.
      To be honest with you, there isn't much to update. I went back to work, but it hasn't gone as expected. I am working very few hours because of the Coronavirus. My unemployment has also been pending since I went back to work at the end of May. I'm still trying to get that fixed right now and looking into finding a second job if I need to.
     Not much has changed on the health/fitness side of things either. I have been creating my own workouts and trying them out since I became certified in March. But right now I'm taking a break to try/learn from a workout guide I bought a few years ago and never tried. How I'm Furthering My Education Since Becoming a Personal Trainer

Since becoming a certified personal trainer in March, I have had extra time on my hands. Three weeks to be exact. This has given me time to take multiple classes. I’m actually almost done with my recertification classes that aren’t due for two more years. This is what I have been working on lately:
1. I took a couple of classes about becoming an online personal trainer. The day after I became certified, I watched a webinar by NPE called How To Lead Your Business through COVID-19. This workshop talked about how to move your fitness business online as gyms were starting to get closed throughout the country. I also took a 3 day masterclass called How to Transition to Online Fitness Coaching by Amanda O’Mara on Facebook. It gave me a lot of ideas and tools I could use to start a new business. Right now I’m just not sure if I want to start a business. I’m still trying to decide.
